OCCC Roofing Undergoes Modification

OCCC RoofsRoofs at the Orange County Convention Center are getting a much-needed update.

Leaders at the Orange County Convention Center are consistently improving our facility with Capital Improvement Projects that positively and directly affect our list of clients and attendees. While most of those improvements are visible around our campus, some are not.

Construction work on the North/South Building roof is a perfect example of one of those hidden updates.  The changes not only update the concourses but improve safety on our campus as well. Once complete, the building will have an OSHA-certified fall arrest system.  That fall protection system, at its core, directly benefits anyone who does rigging or maintenance in the concourse.

On the other side of campus, design work is being done for a new roof for the West Building, a project that will begin later this summer. That project will replace the building’s aging roof and give a cleaner look to our facility.

Above all else, these Capital Improvement Projects maintain our commitment to safety and sustainability of our facility. Construction of these roofs will work around show activity and will not cause disruption to guests during their stay.

The North/South Concourse project is expected to be completed in October while the West Building work is estimated to be finished by July 2019.
