Valencia Room - 62,182 sq. ft.

The OCCC’s 62,182 square foot dining and general session venue, The Valencia Room, can accommodate events up to 6,000. This multi-purpose room can be subdivided into 2 or 3 individual rooms. Loading Access
Access to the Valencia Room is via a freight elevator. There are several paths available and should be coordinated prior to arriving. Which path is used will depend on the activity in the OCCC facility.

Rigging Specifications
Valencia Room Rigging Plot:
There is a grid pattern of permanent rigging points installed in the ceiling, spaced 15' apart (see drawings). ALL RIGGING MUST UTILIZE PERMANENT RIGGING POINTS. OCCC Valencia Room Rigging Plot

Valencia Room Rigging Load Capacities:
  • TOTAL at any one time 27,000 lbs.
  • Deep truss TOTAL per room section 9,000 lbs.
  • Each rigging point 1,500 lbs. (up to a 45 degree angle)

The Convention Center provides all rigging labor exclusively. The Convention Center has an inventory of quality rated rigging hardware, i.e.: chain hoist motors, span-sets, block and falls, wire ropes, etc.

Circuitry:
The Valencia Room has 600 dimming circuits operating on DMX-512 protocol with two DMX lines, powered through Strand dimmers (supervisor series). 312 of these circuits are dedicated to house lighting. The remaining 288 theatrical lighting circuits are distributed throughout the ceiling and walls. The theatrical circuits terminate at plug boxes or wall pockets that have veam connectors; six 2.4 kw circuits are in each plug box. The first 2 circuits of the 6 circuits in each plug box also terminate with stage pin connectors.

Barndoors, Gel Frames, Tophats, Doughnuts, Gobo Holders, Gobos and Source 4 drop-In Irises
Spotlights:
  • 2 each Strong Gladiator Spotlights
  • On the east wall balcony there are 12 evenly spaced, three phase 30-amp receptacles for spotlight power. Up to 6 spotlights can be used at one time.

  • 12 each Colorams (color changers)

24 Tomcat pre-rigged trusses, 93" sections, double hung, loaded with Par 64's with multi-cable

Power Distribution

There are two 3-phase 100-amp service locations in the center of the room, on the floor. There is one 3-phase 100-amp service with disconnect at the center of the north, south and west walls for a total of five 3-phase 100-amp service locations.

Dressing Rooms
There are two dressing rooms available.  Both are equipped with ten make-up stations and a gender-neutral restroom.

Sound & Communications
  • The Valencia Room contains a permanent overhead distributed audio system containing JBL 12" coaxial speakers mounted in enclosures.  Each speaker has a 200-watt amp.  There is also available adjustable delay times, frequency response and output levels, which are computer-controlled via I.E.D., UDAPS (Universal Digital Audio Processing System).
  • Permanent multi-channel mic snakes are routed around the room and terminated with ELCO connectors (32 audio lines each).
  • Various audio consoles are available (Yamaha, Soundcraft).
  • Auxiliary audio equipment is available to augment the built-in audio system. (JBL concert series loud speakers, stage monitors, microphones, equalizers and other audio processing equipment)
  • Clear Com infrastructure with base station and headsets
